So, have I mentioned that I’m going deaf?
That is actually a true statement, not just hyperbole. I literally can’t use my left ear to talk on the phone because I have an 80% hearing loss in my left ear. I can currently hear and understand 20% of what someone is saying.
My audiologist was concerned that my hearing loss has deteriorated so rapidly on one side, so she ordered an MRI to make sure I don’t have a brain tumor.
Behind door number one is a pair of brand new $4000 hearing aids. Behind door number two is a brain tumor!
Thankfully, I won the door number one prize. Unfortunately, my health insurance doesn’t pay for hearing aids. I’m thinking of trading in a car or maybe a kidney.

Glad to hear (no pun intended) that it is door #1. The $4000 part sucks though. All sorts of people live with only one kidney but I think you have to move to another country to get away with only 1 car?!?!?
