What a mess! Phillip had a lot of fun at his first birthday party, even when he had to stop in the middle of the party for a bath (he still has residual food coloring dye on his skin that will eventually wear off, I hope).
He had a great time with the cake, with his friends, and with his new presents that his brother and sister helpfully opened for him.
We’re kind of sentimental about the fact that this will be our last one-year-old birthday party, at least until we have grandchildren. I mentioned that to Lannie, and it seemed to freak Caleb out a little. I guess you don’t like to think about ever having kids when you’re a seven-year-old boy.
