I had to go get a new driver’s license today, which made my husband very sad because he loved to make fun of my old driver’s license picture. It’s easy to see why, since my driver’s license from four years ago looks like a “Before” picture for the Extreme Makeover show (okay, maybe not that bad, but only because we couldn’t afford plastic surgery…).

Seriously, a lot can change in four years, especially when you lose 60 pounds, ditch the glasses that you had in high school, learn how to put on make-up and get a decent haircut. Keep in mind that in the “Before” picture, I was a stay-at-home mom, and I really only had to dress for Caleb and Elizabeth (and Lannie, but that was only after 5:00). It’s really amazing how much seeing other adults every day motivates you to look in the mirror every once and a while.
