Lannie received a Wii for his birthday/anniversary/Christmas present this year, and our whole family has become very competitive! For several weeks, I just watched while Lannie and the kids played. All of us got a big kick out of the way Ellie plays the Wii sports games– kind of like she’s killing snakes. As you can see, she comes by it honestly.

Ellie cracked us up again this week while playing Lannie’s newest game– Excite Truck. I know, it sounds redneck that we would have so much fun playing a monster truck racing game, but it really is fun! One of our favorite features is to race each other, since we now have two Wii remotes. Caleb can whip all of us, but Lannie’s not far behind. Ellie and I are not good representatives of female drivers. Neither one of us is very good.

Ellie topped us all, though, when she was racing Caleb earlier this week. She was having a terrible time even getting her truck to move in the right direction. She went the wrong way down the track and then spun her wheels in the mud for most of the race. We figured out why she was having so much trouble, though, when Caleb’s truck crossed the finish line and she yelled, “Yeah! I won!” She was looking at the wrong side of the screen and thought she was driving Caleb’s truck. The funniest thing is that she did it again last night.
