PR director of the playground

This has been a crazy month at work, and it’s all coming to a head this week. Former President Clinton is speaking at the school tonight, and Dr. Horne’s inauguration is Thursday.

Technically, we all had spring break last week, but I had to work most of the week. My kids went to New Orleans to visit my parents, and I’m very jealous of all of the shrimp that they ate. I’m expecting to be able to eat a really good shrimp dinner very soon as a reward for surviving this week.

Caleb and Ellie each had fun in New Orleans, and as always they had very different opinions of why it was fun. Caleb’s favorite parts of the visit including seeing a kangaroo at the zoo (something he had never seen in person before) and having the run of the campus at NOBTS.

Ellie’s favorite part of the trip was “meeting new friends.” Ellie, as you know if you’ve read any of this blog, never met a stranger. NOBTS had three playgrounds, and mom said they were frequently populated with 30 or more kids. Apparently, Ellie met all of them and knows them by name. I just wish she’d come out of her shell.
