Don’t say I didn’t warn you
Today my daughter is 7 years old. Happy Birthday, Ellie!
She received the High School Musical Sing-it game for the Wii from my parents. It comes with a microphone and is kind of like karaoke for kids. Lannie has had a headache all evening. Both of our kids are kind of tone-deaf– and loud.
Not that we didn’t have fair warning.
Last night, Ellie and her daddy were teasing each other in the van. She said that he had a loud cough, and he said, “Well I’m not the one with the snotty nose.” Then Ellie said, “Well, you’re the one with a headache.”
Lannie said, “I don’t have a headache.” And Ellie replied, “Well, you’re about to” as she led her brothers in a chorus of “la-la” showtunes all the way home. I thought it was hilarious. Lannie asked me, “Remind me again of why we thought it was a good idea to have three kids?”
