Moving in!

We are in Memphis!

Lannie and I moved into our apartment yesterday afternoon. The kids arrive this evening. They spent the week in New Orleans while we packed boxes, and last night Caleb went with my dad to the Sugar Bowl game. My dad grew up in Georgia, and he gave Caleb a black sweater and a black Georgia hat to wear to the game. Caleb acted cool when he called during the 3rd quarter to tell us that Georgia was winning 24-3 (they eventually won 41-10). He told his daddy, “Hawaii was so overrated.”

It was a little strange moving into an apartment again. Since we’ve lived in houses since Caleb was 2 months old, I’m not sure how it will work with 3 kids. I’m sure it won’t be boring, especially since all 3 of them will be home with me all day. I’m hoping that the weather will warm up soon so that we can spend some time outside!

Our first foray into the community will be a homeschoolers’ class at the Memphis Zoo later this month. I’m hoping it will be something that they really enjoy. At the very least, it will get us all out of the apartment.
